KANGAROO ISLAND

Kangaroo Island is one of the world's greatest nature destinations with rugged coastlines, unspoiled beaches and an abundance of wildlife and bird species. BROWNLOW

Safe beach at the beautiful and tranquil Nepean Bay, where you can enjoy our resident pelicans, swans, dolphins and other bird & wildlife species.

EMU BAY

Emu Bay has just been voted No 16 in Australia's Top 20 beaches by Tourism Australia. Emu Bay is just a short 15 minute drive west of Kangaroo Island's main township, Kingscote. The beach ranks among the most popular on the island due to its white sand, turquoise blue waters and long shoreline, safe for swimming, fishing or a relaxing beach walk to unwind. Emu Bay is home to dolphins, pelicans, penguins and many other bird  & wildlife species. There are resident koalas in the gum trees around the neighbourhood.

KINGSCOTE 

Kingscote is the capital of Kangaroo Island overlooking Nepean Bay. Reeves Point was the first official European settlement in South Australia. The Hope Cottage Museum and the Old Mulberry Tree & Cemetery are a must visit for the history lovers. The Kingscote area has many walking trails along the foreshore. The main trail is 11km return from the Ozone Hotel along the coast to the mouth of Cygnet River. Kingscote has four playgrounds, skate park, 18 hole golf course, tidal pool and a bowling club. The jetty & wharf precinct are great for fishing, bird watching or diving. Kingscote is the centre for services on the island. In town you will find a supermarket, butcher, medical clinic, hospital, fuel outlets, pharmacy, hardware stores, public library and various lovely cafes and art galleries.

AMERICAN RIVER 

American River is a tranquil fishing village nestled amongst native bushland and home to many Tammar wallabies and countless bird species. The sheltered waters around American River offer some of the best fishing grounds. The Oyster Farm Shop is located on the foreshore offering a range of Kangaroo Island seafood and local wines. American River has lovely picnic spots and walking trails along the seafront. There is great kids playground and tennis courts by the foreshore too.
