Emu Bay beach on Kangaroo Island has just been voted No 16 in the 'Best Australian Beaches for 2022' by Tourism Australia. Emu Bay, on the north coast, is the only beach with direct 4WD beach access and is located only 13 km from the main township of Kingscote. It’s the locals’ favourite, known for its sand dunes, 4km sweep of white sand, safe swimming and quaint jetty, built in 1918.
